On the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Modi launched Mudra scheme in Dumka, Jharkhand. Under this scheme, people would be able to take loans up to Rs 10 lakh, in order to give a kick start to their businesses.
It was originally launched in April to help the small business sector. This scheme is considered as a potential step for stimulating the growth of country.
Till date, almost, 42 lakh people have been the part of Mudra scheme for leveraging the benefits. According to reports, loans of nearly Rs 26,000 crore have been provided to the people.
The magic of this scheme seems to help the common needy people, just as the ‘Give It Up’ scheme for LPG subsidy helped almost 18 lakh poor people.
On the other hand, under the Mudra scheme, in Jharkhand, nearly 1 lakh people have been provided with loans.
Stressing on the development of tourism in the Santhal region, Modi initiated the renovation of Maluti temples in Dumka.
