Google has decided to put an end to the Great Online Shopping Festival that was launched in 2012. GOSF was the first that started the trend of online festive sale.
In the recent time, many e-commerce brands like, Snapdeal, Amazon and Flipkart started the online festive sale that was a huge boom online.
So, the GOSF is going to be discontinued. According to Google, there are a number of festive deals offered to the users today. Thus, people do not wait for almost 12 months to grab the top deals and offers.
When GOSF got launched in 2012, the number of online buyers was comparatively less than now. Moreover, the number is expected to exceed in the coming year, i.e. 2016.

There were almost 8 million people in India who used to shop online in 2012. This number reached to 50 million in 2015.
GOSF was launched to encourage online shopping among Indians, so that they can benefit from the huge deals and offers. Thus, according to sources, GOSF clearly brought a platform for small and medium sized businesses to attract customers all over India. In today’s online festival sale, there discounts for women, kids, men etc, thus, everyone gets some benefits from such sales.
It has boosted the customer online shopping experience. But, it is the time to say goodbye to it.
