Internet Plans for INR 300-500 per Month by Reliance Jio

The much-awaited telecom services by Reliance Jio that offers 4G smartphone for around 4,000 with a monthly bill of Rs 300-500, will be started by December. Reliance Jio Infocomm, that is the telecom arm of reliance industries, is testing network with a ‘beta launch’ initially and finally the commercial operations would commence from December.

The company plans to offer the same power of communication, computing and precise information to each and every individual, in rural areas or towns that the president of US had 10-15 years ago. Hence, the plan for a bill of about INR 300-500 per month has been initiated.

According to Mr. Ambani, the 4G smartphones offered in India would be priced below Rs 4,000 by December, in order to tap the data demand and surging voice.

Mukesh ambani entered the telecom business nearly a decade after the Reliance Empire of Dhirubhai Ambani got split and the business for communication went to younger sibling Anil. Ambani’s re-entry into this segment will include offering voice as well as high-speed data services such as HD television viewing.

Furthermore, the company also plans to launch several software applications for providing entertainment and news services to the telecom services users.

With a vision to have 100% national coverage, Ambani said that Reliance Jio may also enter into broadcast TV distribution. The company has even applied for a cable television MSO (multi-system operator) licence. Apart from this, the company has partnered with SBI (the State Bank of India), in order to apply for a payments bank licence.
