A new peer-to-peer service got launched by PayPal, i.e. PayPal.me, that makes it easy for the users to request and receive money easily from their acquaintances. This service has been launched in 18 countries.
PayPal is known as the digital payments processor and this step from the company, is definitely a step towards making the life easier for the users.
The users will be able to request money via personalized links. These can be sent through social media, email or text message. On the other hand, the recipients could pay from their PayPal accounts. This is just very easy by clicking on the link, selecting the requested amount, and finally hitting send.
PayPal’s idea for this service is basically to avoid the awkwardness that people feel while asking for money friends and family. It has been reported that by adding a number to the end of links, the users would be able to request specific amounts of money. For e.g. if a link says ‘paypal.me/username/50’, then it would mean to a money request for $50 (or in local currency).
This is for sure that payment or receiving of money is soon going to be as easy that even a kid could understand it. Few weeks back, RIL stepped forward to apply for payments bank licence. This was considered as an instrument to foster cashless payments. Now, when PayPal has introduced this service, it is an out an out benefit for the users.
