  • Poisoned Tracks to Be Removed From the Schools in China

The running tracks built using industrial waste are known as poisoned tracks these days and reports suggest that the authorities in china will remove them from schools.

Many students fell ill, by using the sports facilities. Hence, removing such toxic tracks is made essential.

The Ministry of Education said that synthetic tracks would be built and these newly-built tracks would be inspected through quality watchdogs and environmental protection.

Further, it is also said that orders will be given to remove the tracks that do not meet the safety standards.

This decision is said to be taken after noticing several incidents of students falling ill. Schools in Jiangsu, Beijing, Guangdong and varied other provinces, found that after using the tracks, the students suffered from dizzy spells, nosebleeds and coughing.

This increased the safety fears about the materials that were used to build tracks.

The Education Ministry is considering such cases very seriously.

The Ministry further added that the oversight of school personnel and officials engaged in the construction of sports stadiums and running tracks would be increased.

It is also said that the people who are at responsible positions will be subject to serious punishment, if their negligence results into sports facilities getting toxic or falling below the quality standards.

The previous reports of state-run media suggest that some tracks were constructed using waste like cables, scrap car tyres and wires and.
