IRegarded as the digital India initiative, the konkan railway may now offer free 24 hours wifi facility to the passengers. Joining hands with M/s SYSCON/JOISTER, the facility is expected to be provided at 28 railway stations with a speed of 2 Mbps.
M/s SYSCON/JOISTER is providing wifi facility in Mumbai and pune in varied educational institutes. But, now, as a part of its corporate social responsibility, it is planning to provide the facility on konkan route for free.
The highlights of wifi offered at the Konkan Railway stations are mentioned as under:
• 28 stations will be covered from KOLAD to MADURE with a speed of 2 Mbps.
• The wifi range would cover the entrance of the station and its circulating area.
• The access would be provided to almost 100 users at the smaller stations and 300 users at the bigger stations.
• One should have the JOISPOT mobile app, in order to access the Free Wi-fi. Open the app, register your name and contact number (mobile number) and then request for an OTP.
It is a great move for the passengers on konkan railway, as they will be able to access essential information easily. Also, while waiting for trains, they will be able to use their time in a productive manner.
