Now, there will be no more expensive online shopping on Amazon, Flipkart and other platforms. The residents of Uttar Pradesh will not be able to order products exceeding Rs. 5000. Actually, these e-commerce companies are facing some tax issues set by the state government.
Thus, the companies are forced to stop shipping for expensive products to the residents of UP.
Six months ago, the government made it compulsory for the online buyers to note down the number of the vehicle shipping the product from outside the state. It was also asked to file VAT declaration. This has thus, virtually ended the online shopping for expensive items.
Due to this, the companies are facing huge losses as they are unable to ship the products to their customers, because of the tax imposition and seizing such products coming from outside the state.
The customers are also unhappy, as they are unable to purchase some of their valuable products.
But, the companies are on their way to find out a solution for this.
Many companies are planning to open warehouses in Uttar Pradesh. This way the products will be delivered within the state and tax will be imposed on the product delivery.
