The most beautiful reserve to the east of Haridwar, Rajaji National Park is located in Dehradun, Pauri Garhwal, and Haridwar districts of Uttarakhand. Spread across 820.42 sq. km. of area, the park beautifies the Shivaliks, in the vicinity of Himalayan foothills. History
Rajaji National Park is a famous tiger reserve in India that is spread over an area of 820 sq. km. It is so huge that it covers Haridwar, Pauri Garhwal and Dehradun, i.e. 3 districts of Uttarakhand. It has been named after C. Rajagopalachari, who is known to have received Bharat Ratna, leader of Freedom Struggle and the second and last Governor-General of India. It was on 15 April 2015 that Rajaji (Uttarakhand) was declared as a tiger reserve.
